OCCASIONAL SELECTIONS OF MY PHOTOGRAPHS
Usually around a theme or place or person.
1) “FRANCE AND THE AMERICAN WEST” SIX OR SEVEN PERMANENT SLIDE SHOWS AND NARRATIVES OF OUR TRAVELS OVER THE PAST DECADE–MOSTLY TO FRANCE, BUT ALSO THE AMERICAN WEST. (Hundreds of photographs).
2) “WHITE” A gallery of 35 photos “quoted” from my 2002 blog, “lightandvariable,” all taken in our home and downtown Portland neighborhood in one morning after a snowstorm.
3) A WALK BY MAINE WOODS – NOVEMBER 2, 2010
A two-hour walk in our neighborhood with my LX-5, followed by a 2-hour Lightroom session to see how far I could push the processing for impact under current visual fads, followed by mounting a slideshow on the web that same day. Things have changed since we used to wait hours for developing, days for darkroom printing, and months to figure out a way to display the work!! These are not to my taste, but they DO put our neighborhood in a dramatic light! Hope you enjoy the walk…(That was a bad day for Democrats, and we lost Russ Feingold in the Senate).
